Dear friends, we look back on this summer with hearts full of gratitude. God walked faithfully with us through camps full of fruit, through an unforgettable journey across America, and through many precious moments spent together as a family.
Here is the story, in words and photographs.
01Early summer
We met with part of the JV Romania team in Bucharest for a time of reflection and thanksgiving, looking back at all God allowed us to accomplish during this school year. Then we looked ahead with confidence to the year to come, planning together and preparing our hearts for what lies before us.

June
We closed another year in which we had the chance to draw nearer to God and to serve Him with joy. At the end of June we traveled to Austria, to our parents, to celebrate the family birthdays together.

02 · Impact in the young generation

45
young people at SHIFT camp · „Outside the Box”
A camp full of emotion and special moments. Among the participants, 10 young people did not come from an evangelical background, and this fall 6 of them will take the step of baptism.
10+
boys gave their lives to Christ
Of the roughly 45 participants at EDGE Sports camp, nearly 40 came from outside a Christian context. It was the most fruitful EDGE camp of the past six years, giving us the chance to have honest conversations about faith and to carry the Gospel further.

Evelyn turned 7 right in the middle of EDGE camp.
03Travel and connection
Just a few days after EDGE camp ended, we set off together for the United States, glad to see our partners again and to tell them how God keeps working in Romania and through the people here.

„But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

We had the joy of taking part and sharing at the men's morning gatherings at Southeast Christian Church, as well as in other groups, about what God is doing in Romania. We also had the privilege of sitting at the table, praying and enjoying fellowship with families from New York, Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky, people who carry the same passion for the Gospel in their hearts.

04Fall Conference
At the annual Josiah Venture conference we were glad to reconnect with missionaries from across Europe. We had the chance to share about the ministry in Romania and, in turn, to be encouraged by the stories and experiences of those around us. We left with a desire to grow in discipleship and to follow Jesus ever more closely.

05At home

This fall she started first grade and happily continues her piano and gymnastics lessons. She is a loving, caring girl, always attentive to those around her.

She brings so much joy, laughter and smiles into our home, and as she grows we discover more and more of the beauty with which God created her.
